Dear Learners

We have encountered a number of problems with the journal online submissions (and certain Free Text questions). The main reason for this is that the response field available on the LMS, per Free Text question, is limited to 7200 characters including spaces.

Cornerstone developed the Journal to help you make the connection between theory and your own experiences in the workplace, as more often than not learning tends to be very theoretical in nature. The Journals also help us to assess your understanding of the issues at hand. Bear this in mind when you respond to each exercise. We are asking you to give a clear and concise personal response.

The Journal provides evidence of your learning. Make it your own.

Please use the mark allocation as a guide when you are formulating your answers. For example, if the mark allocation is 5 marks, we would expect five ideas in your response. We do understand that when you formulate your answers initially it is easier to type it in Microsoft word and then transfer the information onto the LMS later. Please feel free to do this but avoid using bullet items, or large spaces between paragraphs (use one space between paragraphs) as this takes up unnecessary space in your answer on the LMS. We are not marking on presentation at this level.
